Thanks to Gorge Performance, eFit’s first annual Stand Up to NF event was a huge success!! Last Sunday, Gorge Performance donated the use of 33 SUP boards for the SUP Paddle relay so that we could have more than 30 four-person teams relay up and down the Willamette River on the SUP boards.
It was quite a sight to behold, and a great time was had by all for a wonderful cause. There are still a few more donations coming in, but we are thrilled to report that this event raised more than $6,000 for the Children’s Tumor Foundation, the national, four-star ranked non-profit dedicated to finding treatments or a cure for neurofibromatosis (NF).
As a mom to a child with NF, I cannot thank Bob and Kim Rueter enough for making this event possible. It was so wonderful to have a day to come together in such a fun and positive way. Many people tried out SUP for the first time, families were cheering for the paddlers, and everyone had a blast generating funds and awareness for a great cause.
