SNOWVANA is a brand new event on Oct. 21-22nd at the Memorial Coliseum. This is not your grand pappy's ski swap of ole. Oregon's top ski resorts will be giving away literally hundreds of lift tickets, there will be manufacturer booths, movie premiers, LIVE music, beer, spirits and wine! We'll be there sharing the stoke and offering up deals on 2017 gear. Stop by the Gorge booth to pick up FREE Oneball wax, scrapers and tons of other prizes.

Here's your chance to try out the board of your dreams.....and maybe even drive away with it! We're hosting a free board demo event for folks to test out a number of different size/shape/volume SUPs to help you determine the best race/touring/allaround SUP for you. Most our or demo boards will be available to purchase after the event. Dibs are on a first come basis (starting now, with a deposit!) so come early if you know you have your eye on something. Bob will be doing a demo board previews here on our facebook page. Check it out!

It's easy to get in a SUP rut and paddle the same ol' routes time and time again. Fact is, Portland is a SUPers paradise with no fewer than 13 launches within 20 mile radius of the city center. We've highlighted some of the more frequented launches with useful info on the parking situation, description of access and more. Hopefully this map will encourage a little exploring of our 'hood. We'll be adding new sites to this map, including locations beyond the 30 minute limit, so bookmark the map link and refer to it often. We welcome suggestions and comments at the end.
The one size fits all approach to stand up paddle board lessons has become common these days. We’ve all seen them, the matching foam top boards lined up on the beach waiting for paddlers who’s size, skill, desire & ability will be far from matching.
At Gorge Performance we approach learning to SUP from the individuals perspective. That means equipment, location and instructor need to be a good fit with the student.
Fresh from SUP’s biggest event of the year, the Pacific Paddle Games, our stoke level couldn’t be higher. The Gorge Crew spent the weekend in Dana Point with board makers, pro racers, recreational enthusiasts, SUP surfers and SUP fans and we can confidently say the sport of SUP is healthy and thriving. Here are a few of our take-aways from four days immersed in all things stand up paddle.
