Ke Nalu Wiki 84 blade with xTuf carbon shaft
The Wiki is one of the lightest paddles on the market. Offered in 74 and 84 square inches, this is a high-cadence, ultra-low swing weight masterpiece. And yet the Wiki has all the structural strength, advanced hydrodynamic features and gorgeous form of the larger Ke Nalu blades.
The xTUF unidirectional carbon shaft is easy on your shoulders, and the flex helps to launch you into swells. It seems to dampen out the catch, which spreads the power out longer. It does add weight over the Elite Flex shafts so maybe not your first choice for flatwater, but for downwinders and in waves, it's da kine.
All Ke Nalu paddles are custom in terms of shaft and handle configurations. In this instance we've paired the Wiki 84 with the xTuf shaft and the Ergo T handle. The xTuf shaft is made from impact-resistant unidirectional carbon fiber. Unidirectional fibers are wound on a bias, providing stiffness, torsional strength, and vibration damping. The flex has different characteristics compared with the Elite shafts but to compare the xTuf would feel like a 70 Flex and the xTuf(s) an 80 Flex. If this configuration doesn't meet your needs, no worries! Just call us and let us know your shaft and handle preference and we'll cut and assemble the perfect Ke Nalu paddle for you!
