What to Expect after Placing your Order

We strive to ship in-stock items the same day if placed before 11:00am, or the very next day if after 11:00. Shippable surfboards and SUPs require additional handling time. Your credit card is charged when the item ships, not when the order is placed. You will receive an email with tracking info once your item ships. 

If the item you've ordered is oversized, we may need to adjust the shipping charge (with approval) depending on distance shipped and type of carrier required. We do our very best to find the most economical option.

We do our very best to keep our online inventory accurate, but occasionally in-store sales may impact online inventory. If we do not have an item you've ordered, we will contact you with an ETA for the back-ordered item, or suggest a suitable alternative, or simply cancel your order at your request. Again, your credit card is not charged until the item ships, but your credit card company will issue a virtual "hold" on your funds during the check-out process. In the event we need to cancel your order, the hold may remain on those funds until it automatically disappears within 24-72 hours. Please note that this hold is initiated by your bank and we have no control or access to remove it.

Shipping Methods

We offer Standard Ground shipping to US addresses only. We do not ship internationally, nor do we offer expedited shipping options.

FREE In Store Pickup is always an option! Please note that during checkout, you will still need to provide a shipping address (same as billing), and then you will select "In Store Pick Up" as your shipping method in the next step. Please note that we require a photo ID or proof of purchase at time of pick up. 

Free Shipping Over $150 excludes oversize items (surboards, paddleboards, SUP paddles, Onewheels and Super73 an special large size packages)

Items marked FREE SHIPPING will ship via Ground service and apply only to customers in the contiguous US. For AK, HI or PO, FPO, and APO addresses, please give us a call or email and we will provide a shipping cost estimate. 

Some items (board bags, surfboards, etc) are considered oversized (see below). Because rates for oversized items can vary widely, we cannot guarantee the shipping estimate given by our shopping cart will be 100% accurate. We will contact you for approval if a shipping adjustment needs to be made.

APO/FPO addresses, please contact us by phone to process your order. We will ship via USPS.

Surfboards & Paddleboards 

Please note, we are based in Portland, Oregon…on the WEST COAST. Shipping a fragile board comes with inherent risk. We double box and do our very best to package the board to arrive safely, but once it leaves our shop, the board's fate rests with the freight company. And if you're looking to ship a board 3,000 miles across the country, the freight charge is not insignificant. 

Surfboards up to 6’0 ship for a flat rate of $99 in the lower 48 states

Surfboards between 6’1 - 8’0 will require a shipping quote. 

Boards over 8’0 will most likely require an LTL carrier and can cost more than $250. A shipping quote will be furnished upon request.

Composite (non-inflatable) SUPs over 12 feet average a minimum of $400.

Inflatable SUPs (excluding sale items) ship FREE. Discounted inflatable SUPs typically ship for $40 to the lower 48. 

Air Cargo Shipping option for boards up to 10’0 

Boards can often ship most economically and more safely via Alaska Air Cargo and delivered to your closest Alaska Air Cargo facility where you’ll have three days to pick it up. Unlike ground transport, this method provides delivery without ground truck transfers and therefore offers the best protection against damage

Self-Directed Shipping

With self-directed shipping, we provide you the boxed board specs and allow you to manage the shipping process using the freight company of your choosing. This gives you the option to select the timing and level of service required to meet your needs, and puts you in charge of the claims process should any damage occur. If your package requires LTL services and you do not have a preferred freight company, we recommend checking out freightquote.com.

Damage Claims

In the event of damage occurring during shipment, shipping companies typically cover the cost of repair not replacement. During the current shipping environment damage claims, even partial value claims, can take 6-12 weeks to resolve. While many shipments arrive with zero damage, we prefer to make sure you are fully aware of the process. It is important that you are comfortable with the risk and maybe have a good repair guy or your own repair kit just in case.
