The secret to the award-winning fit is K2's Conda™ liner lacing system. Powered by a BOA® Fit System dial, this forgiving and adjustable harness is designed to pull the user's heel into the boot's heel pocket. This urethane-based harness hugs your ankle and flexes naturally. Externally, they started with an articulating cuff to reduce distortion when bending the knee, and they've integrated our Flex Zone calf panel at the top of the cuff, helping to keep legs happy all day long. A high-powered BOA® Fit System H4 Coiler closes the shell securely and can be done without removing your gloves. Lastly, to add durability and maintain the boot's flex over the boot's lifetime, K2 constructed the K2 Contour using our Endo™ technology. Underfoot, K2 used premium materials to improve damping and grip. The outsole is built using our proprietary This Grips!™ dual-rubber compound to provide excellent grip both on and off the snow. This is all set atop a dual-density midsole comprised of a lightweight EVA and our proprietary Harshmellow™, designed to dampen vibration on rough terrain and cushion big landings. Two different densities of rubber are strategically placed to ensure the best possible grip for the parking lot and the boot pack. A full-EVA midsole is backed with impact-resistant Harshmellow™ material, helping to reduce vibration and mellow out the harshest of landings. Less vibration of the ankle means that your feet feel comfortable and fresh all day long. Inside, multi-density Control Foam liner features heat-moldable foam from Intuition®. Intuition® foam is lightweight, durable, warm, and has an excellent memory - meaning that it molds to the shape of your foot and stays that way. This is wrapped in our 3-point harness - snuggly holding your ankle in place for stability and reducing heel lift for ultimate board control. Replacing a traditional heel counter of the boot with an injected poly material allows us to change the flex and rebound of the Hanford without adding extra weight. Endo™ construction helps retain the boot's flex over its lifetime and adds an extra layer of durability. A dual-zone BOA® Fit System allows users to adjust the upper and lower of the snowboard boot independently of each other, fitting more foot shapes than a standard single-BOA® boot normally would. The Haven is a staple in the K2 Snowboarding boot line and is the perfect all-mountain option for boarders who want a softer flexing boot with deluxe features for exploring new terrain. A long-time favorite of resort employees and progressing snowboarders alike, K2 packed all of the essentials into the mix on the K2 Haven, starting with an H4 Coiler BOA® Fit System. This securely closes the shell using a stainless steel BOA® lace for the perfect fit and helps to effortlessly get you in and out of your boots at the beginning and end of the day. Next, they added Fast-In liner lacing to maximize fit and keep the liner snug against the contours of your feet. No matter the shape of your foot, the ultra-warm, heat-moldable, and breathable Intuition® Comfort Foam 3D liner hugs every nook and cranny for a great fit right out of the box. K2 added internal and external j-bars to the liner to increase responsiveness when turning, wrapping your ankles with support and cushion, and added an EVA footbed for comfort.
