Surfboard Traction
Slip n' slides are tons of fun – just not when they're on your surfboard. If you find yourself slipping and sliding all over your board, especially when stompin' that back foot for a gnarly carve, consider investing in surfboard traction. Here at the shop, we carry surfboard traction pads, also known as deck grip or kick pads, which are made of EVA foam and often feature patterns and grooves to secure your foot in place. All traction pads stick onto your board with an adhesive glue similar to that of a giant sticker (easy peezy). At Gorge, our shelves are rockin' brands like Dakine and Pro-lite, and some pads come with fun, colorful designs, like the Pro-Lite Brisa Hennessy Pro Surf Traction Pad. You'll find plenty of tail pads, although we also carry deck pads like Creatures of Leisure Front Deck IV Lite Surf Traction. Be sure to bring your board in to double-check traction sizing, or measure your board dims and research pad sizing online before purchasing. Once you've secured your traction in place, be ready to STOMP.
