  • Bing Levitator 9'4 Seafoam Tint Double Stringer

Bing Levitator seafoam tint. (2) Applecore stringers. Beautiful noserider. "I decided to take the design in a different direction and developed it into a hybrid log with performance characteristics. I wanted a board with drive to get around critical sections while maintaining glide speed, along with the ability to make faster tighter turns, in a sense I 'took the brakes off' that is common with most noseriders. I've added an edge in the tail that transitions to a 60/40 rail in the middle. I've maintained some attributes of the outline but made it noticeably narrower overall; especially in the nose and tail, while keeping its signature pointed nose. Having the wide point slightly forward still makes it an excellent noserider even with the narrower nose. Finally, eliminating the step deck allowed for more volume in the nose, offsetting the need for the additional width in in the original version." The resulting Levitator Type 2 has proven itself to be an all-around square tail log that excels in all conditions, is focused on speed, and maintains the traditional attributes of a noserider. • Bing Pintail Lightweight Type II 9'0 reverse tint turquoise

"When I designed the current PTLW in 2001 I focused on what was currently trending at the time, more nose rocker, and a wider nose. With the redesigned Pintail Lightweight Type 2 I've revisited the original 60's version's semi-pig outline, flatter nose rocker, and a tail that is a more pronounced pintail as opposed to a round pin. I've been making the 2001 version for the last 20 years, and after a year of experimentation and refinement I've decided the model needed to be permanently updated. The new Type 2 is the result of feedback from my team riders as well as my own experiences on this new model. The difference in the way the new Type 2 version surfs vs the older version is apparent immediately and takes this proven design to a whole new level. By having the hips "wide-point back" the board becomes much more responsive, or sensitive, which allows for quicker rail to rail response and the ability to make minor adjustments and finesse your positioning. The flatter nose rocker makes for a 'loggy-type glide' and allows for longer tip time. The redesigned outline combined with the rocker adjustment makes for a quicker setup enabling better positioning, which translates to longer nose rides. The tail rocker of both versions is similar, but the Type 2 has more release, or curve, on the bottom to compliment the more responsive outline. This minor but important revision to the rocker makes the more defined Pintail feel freer and eliminates any stiffness. The Pintail Lightweight Type 2 outline and the defined hard edge on the tail gives this model the ability to create speed and get around critical sections, making it ideal for point breaks or for whenever the waves are bigger or hollower." The new Pintail Lightweight Type 2 lives up to its reputation as an all-around functional design for all types of surf that excels in medium to head high waves at both point and beachbreaks." - Matt Calvani Learn More

  • Bing Pintail Mini 7'8 Root Beer Tint 2 + 1

The Pintail Mini was originally intended to be a mid-length or "mini" version of its predecessor the Pintail Lightweight, capturing the transition from longboard to midrange. Similar to its cousin, the Maui Foil, it had to have modern elements while keeping to its original intention. Since the Maui Foil was intended to be more of a gunnier egg shape that works great in a little power, Matt wanted to design a board that was more all-around. Using the Maui Foil as his starting point, he added width with a fuller nose and tail while keeping the signature hard pintail and down rail nose. The bottom has a very slight roll to flat in the middle to a generous amount of double concave spiral vee back to flat out the tail for release in the wave. The modest continuous rocker with a little extra kick in the nose and tail along with the 2+1 fin configuration give the rider plenty of fin options and versatility. This model's true magic is that it rides just as remarkable shorter (6'0-7'0) as a mid-range (7'0'-8'6). If you want a board that catches waves with ease and turns on a dime, this is it! Learn More

  • Bing Seeker 7'6 Burnt Orange Tint

I wanted to create a board that was appealing to longboarders, and shortboarders to be a wave-catching machine. What makes the Seeker different is the high volume, flat deck and bottom, and medium fold-down rail, giving the board a feeling of riding on top of the water that gives a lively, yet stable feeling. The wider nose creates a more parallel outline for more drive, speed, and trim. I kicked up the nose rocker in the last foot to navigate late take-offs and to be able to fade deep into the wave. The squash tail provides more surface area for added stability and earlier wave-catching, and the slight lift and double concave in the tail give it sensitivity and release in the turns. With the balanced elements, this model will excel in mushy or steeper, bigger waves. The 2+1 fin configuration allows for a single fin option that is a favorite among our factory/retail store design team, comprised of pro level to average surfers. – Matt Calvani, head shaper/designer Learn More
